About this opportunity
The Office of Home Energy Programs (OHEP) provides financial assistance to low-income households in Prince George's County to help pay heating bills, electric bills, and past-due energy bills, as well as information on how to decrease energy costs. The program includes four components: the Maryland Energy Assistance Program (MEAP) for home heating bills, the Electric Universal Service Program (EUSP) for electric bills, Arrearage Retirement Assistance (grants up to $2,000 for past-due electric and gas bills of $300 or more), and the Utility Service Protection Program (USPP) to protect low-income families from utility shutoffs during the heating season.
