Frederick County's Division of Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Frederick County Parks and Recreation Commission (FCPRC), awards grants to eligible non-profit and not-for-profit community organizations to improve existing or construct new recreational facilities for Frederick County residents. Grant funds are provided before project construction and can be applied toward materials, equipment, and contracted or volunteer labor. Grants are not awarded for routine maintenance. Projects must be completed and all Closeout documents submitted within two years of the award date. A total budget of $100,000 has been approved for Fiscal Year 2027, with individual grants of up to $25,000 per applicant.
