The Baltimore Innovation Initiative (BII) Pilot Program supports an equitable innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem at institutions of higher education in the Baltimore-Columbia-Towson Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). As part of Maryland's matching contribution to the Baltimore Tech Hub, BII funds two grant tracks: (1) Technology Advancement grants to help commercialize new or existing technology and support startup creation (up to $50,000 for individual applicants, or up to $75,000 for joint applications from two or more qualifying universities, over up to 9 months), and (2) Entrepreneurship Commercialization, Programming, and Infrastructure grants to create or enhance entrepreneurship programs and commercialization infrastructure for technology-based ventures (up to $50,000 ove…
