About this opportunity
Federal grant funding administered by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) under Section 319(h) of the Clean Water Act. The program provides financial assistance to reduce or eliminate water quality impairments caused by nonpoint source pollution — pollution from diffuse sources such as stormwater runoff, agricultural runoff, and urban land use. Funds can pay for planning, design, construction, monitoring, and analysis of projects that reduce pollutant loads in impaired waters listed on Maryland's 303(d) List or in watersheds with approved Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs), as well as for implementing best management practices and public outreach initiatives.
