About this opportunity
The Digital Equity Fund supports community-led digital inclusion efforts in Baltimore City. Grants are available across three tiers: Tier 1 funds digital literacy education training (including programs for older adults and tech hubs at recreation centers); Tier 2 funds advanced digital education and IT fundamentals programming, including opportunities for residents to earn industry-recognized IT certifications; and Tier 3 funds digital creatives and virtual makerspaces programming at local recreation centers. The fund aims to close the digital divide for Baltimore residents most likely to be left behind, including people with disabilities, older adults, racial and ethnic minorities, immigrants, non-English speakers, returning citizens, LGBTQIA+ youth, and people experiencing homelessness.
