Bay Restoration Fund Grant Program (Charles County Septic)

About this opportunity
The Bay Restoration Fund (BRF) is a Maryland state-supported program locally administered by the Charles County Health Department. It provides grants to replace conventional septic tanks with nitrogen-reducing units or to fund sewer connections for existing dwellings where public sewer is available. For low-income households, BRF funding can also replace a failing septic system. The program's goal is to reduce harmful nutrients, especially nitrogen, from entering the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. Different application checklists apply for properties inside and outside Priority Funded Areas (PFAs).
