About this opportunity

Provides funding to local and state law enforcement agencies to recruit and retain qualified sworn police officers. Funding may be used for hiring bonuses, retention incentives, tuition reimbursement, health incentives, contractual services, equipment, personnel costs, and travel. Anticipated availability of $1,300,000 with up to 40 awards ranging from $10,000 to $150,000 (tiered by sworn officer count). Funds are distributed on a quarterly reimbursement basis. Period of performance: July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
