About this opportunity

The Garrett County Commissioners Scholarship Program provides Garrett County high school graduates with equal access to post-secondary education at Garrett College. Established in 2006 by the Board of County Commissioners, the program makes post-secondary education financially and geographically accessible for local youth, aiming to build an educated, skilled workforce and support the county's economic development. It is the first program of its kind in Maryland. The program includes two scholarship components: (1) the Garrett County Academic Scholarship (GCAS) for credit degree or certificate programs, and (2) the Garrett County Occupational Scholarship (GCOS) for workforce training and industry certification programs.
