About this opportunity
The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) reimburses child and adult care agencies with federally funded dollars for nutritionally balanced meals and snacks served to children and adults. The program supports healthy growth and development for infants and young children, and promotes health and wellness for older adults and people with chronic disabilities. Participating sites include childcare centers, daycare homes, afterschool care programs, emergency shelters, and adult day care centers. Funds are used to offset meal and supplement costs to public, private nonprofit, or proprietary centers licensed to provide non-residential childcare services, as well as for daycare homes, eligible centers, and non-residential eligible adult daycare centers.
