About this opportunity

Frederick County offers competitive grants to eligible owners of historic properties in unincorporated (rural) areas of the county. Grants support exterior work to stabilize, rehabilitate, restore, or preserve historic buildings. Eligible properties must be listed on the County Register of Historic Places, the National Register of Historic Places, designated as a contributing resource in a County-designated Historic District, or determined eligible for National Register designation by the Maryland Historical Trust. Projects must meet the U.S. Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties.
