The Incumbent Worker Training Fund (IWT) offers training reimbursement support to businesses in Kent County and Queen Anne's County that want to train their current (non-contractual) workforce. All training must result in a credential confirming completion. The program reimburses costs for occupational classroom training, certifications, cross-training, in-house proprietary training using current or outside trainers, and outside vendor training at off-site locations. Expected outcomes include improved skills alignment, new career opportunities, worker retention, wage increases, entry-level advancement, and regional economic development.
