About this opportunity
P-TECH is a grade 9 to 14 public school program that creates clear pathways from high school to college and career. In six years or less, students graduate with a high school diploma and a no-cost, two-year Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree. Each P-TECH school partners with industry and a local community college to deliver academically rigorous, career-relevant curriculum. The program includes one-on-one mentoring, workplace visits, skills instruction, paid summer internships, and first-in-line consideration for jobs with partnering companies. MSDE awards competitive planning grants to local school systems to establish new P-TECH sites. The program was established under the P-TECH Act of 2017 (Chapter 591, Acts of 2017).
