About this opportunity

This program provides grant funding to city, county, or municipal government entities, public universities, community colleges, and public schools to support the planning and installation of solar arrays on existing infrastructure of public facilities. A public facility is a building that the local jurisdiction owns, controls, and uses for official purposes. Installation can occur through direct purchase of solar modules or through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with a third party. The program has two Areas of Interest: AOI 1 for purchased systems and AOI 2 for third-party-owned systems. Grants are reimbursement-based, paid after project completion.
