The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) provides competitive grants to owners of Maryland-based commercial, industrial, data center, and non-profit facilities to invest in energy efficiency improvements that exceed current codes or standards. Both new construction and existing facilities are eligible. There are three areas of interest: existing facilities serving general populations (AOI.1), existing facilities serving predominantly low-income populations eligible for 100% project cost coverage (AOI.2), and new construction or substantial rehabilitation (AOI.3).
