About this opportunity
A financial assistance program that helps local communities understand, plan for, and mitigate the impacts of coastal, tidal, and precipitation-induced flooding within Maryland's Coastal Zone. Funded projects improve a local government's understanding of flood impacts and vulnerabilities at a community scale. Eligible projects include flood risk assessments, incorporating adaptation strategies into existing planning processes, developing conceptual or engineered designs for flood adaptation, policy and zoning updates, and best management practice siting and recommendations for coastal, riverine, and precipitation-based flood events.
