The STOP VAWA Program, administered by the Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy under the authority of the Department of Justice, encourages the development and strengthening of effective, victim-centered law enforcement, prosecution, and court strategies to combat violent crimes against women in Maryland. Funding is distributed among law enforcement (25%), prosecution (25%), nonprofit victim service providers (30%), and court entities (5%), with up to 15% at the State's discretion.
