Maryland DNR's Chesapeake and Coastal Grants Gateway (also known as the Grants Gateway) is a single point of entry providing financial and technical assistance for projects that restore local waterways, increase resilience to climate impacts, strengthen local economies, and develop the next generation of environmental stewards. Grants and loans are funded through the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays Trust Fund, the Waterway Improvement Fund, the Shoreline Erosion Control Revolving Loan Fund, the Coastal Resiliency Program, NOAA, and the EPA Chesapeake Bay Program. The program supports projects achieving at least one of five defined outcomes related to Chesapeake Bay restoration and community resilience, with a focus on Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bay communities statewide.
