Grant opportunity · Maryland Higher Education Commission

Workforce Development Sequence Scholarship

Up to $2,000 per award

About this opportunity

Provides financial assistance to students enrolling in approved non-credit certificate programs at participating Maryland community colleges. Programs must lead to apprenticeships, employment, licensure, or job skill enhancement. The scholarship covers tuition, mandatory fees, and associated costs of attendance, and may be combined with other state grants or scholarships as long as the total does not exceed the student's costs. Funds may only be used to the extent those costs have not already been covered by another state grant, scholarship, or employer assistance. Recipients may also be eligible for an additional award for an additional developmental sequence.
