The Commercial and Canopy Solar Program (CCSP) provides grant funding to support solar energy installations on commercial properties in Maryland, including rooftop-mounted systems, ground-mounted systems, and solar canopies over parking areas or bodies of water. The program has two areas of interest: Area 1 targets nonprofits, Small Business Enterprises (SBEs), and veteran-owned businesses to expand equitable solar access; Area 2 serves Maryland businesses and organizations that own or operate eligible facilities. Both purchased and third-party owned solar energy systems are eligible. The program is statewide and non-competitive, awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
