The Washington County Gaming Commission administers competitive grants funded by the Washington County Gaming Fund, which is supported by tip jar (pull-tab) gaming revenues collected within the county. Seven appointed commissioners review and score applications annually using a published scoring rubric. Nonprofit and community organizations can apply for funding to support their programs and services. Applications are released each April for the annual funding cycle. Maximum award is $100,000 per application. The performance period is one year from the award announcement; unspent funds must be returned.
