The Maryland Historical Trust (MHT) Certified Local Government (CLG) Program recognizes local governments in Maryland that meet high standards for historic preservation planning. Certified governments receive technical support, training, and annual competitive grant funding drawn from MHT's 10% allocation of its federal Historic Preservation Fund from the National Park Service.
