About this opportunity

Maryland's Winery and Vineyard Economic Development Grant Program provides financial assistance to individuals and corporations to establish a new winery or vineyard in Maryland, or to complete capital improvements at an existing winery or vineyard. The program provides a grant equal to 25% of qualified capital expenses, which include equipment and agricultural materials used in wine production (such as barrels, tanks, tractors, irrigation equipment, and fruit plants), but do not include construction costs, labor, utilities, repairs, office supplies, marketing, or maintenance costs. Leasing costs are eligible only for leases of 3 or more years. If total applications exceed the annual appropriation, grants are approved on a pro-rata basis.
