About this opportunity

The Core Funding program provides state funding to Maryland's 23 counties and Baltimore City to support core public health functions and staff. It is established under Health-General Article §2–301–2–305 and distributes funding based on a state-driven formula to help local health departments deliver the ten essential public health services, including infectious disease prevention and treatment, environmental health, family planning, maternal and child health, wellness promotion, adult and geriatric health services, protective equipment for health care personnel, communicable disease emergency preparedness, and administration.
