Provides state supplemental funding to existing Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Maryland to increase access to high-quality early care and education services, enhance service delivery, strengthen instructional practices, improve child outcomes and school readiness, and expand services for children and families. Grantees can use funds to expand hours of service, add summer programming (4–6 weeks), and implement quality improvement measures such as professional learning and development, program improvement, and salary enhancement. Aligns with the Blueprint for Maryland's Future goal of helping children enter kindergarten ready to learn.
