The Maryland Stem Cell Research Fund (MSCRF) promotes state-funded human stem cell research and medical treatments by awarding grants to public and private entities. Established under the Maryland Stem Cell Research Act of 2006, MSCRF offers seven grant programs: Launch, Discovery, Validation, Commercialization, Clinical, Post-doctoral Fellowships, and Manufacturing Assistance. These programs are designed to accelerate research and commercialization of innovative human stem cell-based technologies for positive impact on human lives.
