Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP)
Award amount varies
About this opportunity
The Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) supports and enhances the ability of hospitals and health care systems to provide effective care during emergencies and disasters. The Maryland Department of Health receives federal funding annually from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), then awards these funds as grants to health care system partners statewide. Partners use the funds to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. The program also invests in four regional health care coalitions that bring together hospitals, local health departments, emergency medical services, and other partners to improve coordinated preparedness.
