The Sexual Assault Kit Testing Grant Program (SAKT) was established by law signed by Governor Hogan in 2019 to fund the testing of sexual assault kits in Maryland. Administered by the Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy, the program provides grant funding to the Maryland State Police and local law enforcement agencies and crime labs to support the processing and testing of sexual assault evidence collection kits (SAKs).
