About this opportunity
The Maryland Housing Rehabilitation Program (MHRP) provides rehabilitation loans and, in some jurisdictions, grants for single-family, owner-occupied homes and one-to-four unit rental properties across Maryland. Administered statewide by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), the program is also delivered locally through entities such as Baltimore County, the City of Hagerstown Department of Housing & Community Development, and Frederick County Housing. The program helps income-eligible homeowners and small landlords make repairs and energy efficiency improvements to lower utility bills, improve quality of life, correct code deficiencies, address health and safety violations, accommodate persons with disabilities, and remove lead-based paint hazards.
