Performance Incentive Grant Fund (PIGF)
$50,000 – $450,000 per award
About this opportunity
The Performance Incentive Grant Fund (PIGF) provides grants funded by savings from reforms under Maryland's Justice Reinvestment Act (JRA). JRA reforms aim to safely reduce Maryland's prison population through evidence-based programming to improve reentry outcomes, reduce impacts of incarceration on communities, provide resources to crime victims, and connect nonviolent offenders with behavioral health needs to community treatment and support. Outcomes are monitored by the Justice Reinvestment Oversight Board, with performance measures set by the Local Government Justice Reinvestment Commission. Total anticipated availability for SFY 2027 is $11,546,482, disbursed on a quarterly, reimbursable basis.
