About this opportunity

Baltimore County's Storm Drains and Floodplains Management division offers grants to help residential property owners address flooding problems. The County evaluates drainage conditions on a case-by-case basis and invites affected property owners to apply. Eligible projects include structural floodproofing solutions (such as basement waterproofing, elevation of mechanical systems, and exterior curbs with fill/grading) and localized green infrastructure projects (such as rain barrels, permeable pavers, bioswales, rain gardens, French drains with sump pumps, and dry wells). Only owner-occupied principal residences in Baltimore County with documented flood damage from tidal, riverine, and/or overland stormwater flows are eligible.
