Appalachian Regional Commission Grant Program

Award amount varies

About this opportunity

A federally funded grant program administered locally by Washington County's Office of Grant Management. It supports projects in Appalachian communities across five goal areas: economic development and entrepreneurship, workforce readiness and health, critical infrastructure (broadband, transportation, water/wastewater), natural and cultural assets, and leadership and community capacity building. Washington County collects preliminary proposals each spring, ranks them, and forwards top projects to the Tri-County Council for Western Maryland for regional ranking before eligible projects advance to a formal ARC application.
