Maryland Outdoor Equity Mini-Grant Program

$2,500 – $7,500 per award

About this opportunity

The Maryland Outdoor Equity Mini-Grant Program provides small grants to support equitable access to outdoor recreation for historically underserved communities in Maryland. Funded projects help Marylanders overcome social, geographic, cultural, physical, and economic barriers to the outdoors — such as transportation costs, equipment costs, entry fees, lack of exposure to outdoor activities, and not feeling welcome in outdoor spaces. Projects must address at least one of the following focus areas: creating outdoor recreation opportunities, outdoor and environmental education and stewardship, community capacity-building for long-term outdoor access, or connecting outdoor recreation to health benefits.
