Maryland's House Keys 4 Employees (HK4E) program is a partnership between participating counties/municipalities and the State of Maryland (Maryland Mortgage Program) that helps working residents purchase a home by providing and matching funds for closing costs and down payments. In Calvert County, employers participate as partners by signing a Participation Agreement with Maryland DHCD; the state matches employer contributions up to $5,000 for eligible employees. Calvert County government also participates as an employer and provides matching funds for county government and public school system employees. In Frederick County, the program matches the MMP $8,500 zero percent deferred loan with an additional $8,500 deferred loan match, for a total of $17,000 in down payment and/or closing …
