About this opportunity
Baltimore County's Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability (DEPS) annually awards grants to locally-based watershed associations and nonprofit organizations to identify and implement watershed restoration projects, conduct environmental education and outreach, increase resident participation in watershed planning, and help meet state and federal water quality requirements. Projects can include tree plantings, stormwater best management practices (BMPs), rain gardens, stream clean-ups, invasive plant removal, and storm drain marking. Grants support staff time for restoration planning and implementation activities that help protect Baltimore County's local streams, rivers, reservoirs, and the Chesapeake Bay.
