A grant and revolving loan program administered by the Howard Soil Conservation District that provides cost-share funding to local Howard County farmers for the implementation of best management practices (BMPs) to protect natural resources, improve agricultural land and water quality, and improve farm operations and profitability. Funded through the Howard County Agricultural Preservation Fund. Since 2023, the program has provided $430,000 in grants to 17 local farms. FY25 includes $200,000 in grant funding and $250,000 in revolving loan funding; FY26 budget includes $200,000 in cost-share grants.
