About this opportunity

The Housing Investment Trust Fund provides workforce housing gap financing to support the development, rehabilitation, and preservation of workforce and affordable housing in Prince George's County. The fund targets households earning up to 120% of the area median income (AMI), with HITF-assisted units required to be affordable to households at 80% AMI or below. It encourages non-profit and for-profit developers to produce and rehabilitate housing, and assists Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) in creating housing opportunities for households of limited income. The program is codified in Prince George's County Code, Sections 10-294 through 10-300, with a statutorily mandated minimum of $10 million allocated annually from County recordation taxes.
