About this opportunity
The Maryland State Arts Council's Grants for Organizations (GFO) program provides general operating support grants to nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, as well as units of government, that produce or present ongoing arts programming open to the public in Maryland. GFO grants help strengthen and sustain Maryland's arts infrastructure, create audiences, uplift communities, and stimulate economic impact across the state. A tiered funding formula, phased in starting FY2024, groups organizations into five budget tiers and distributes funds more equitably, with smaller organizations receiving a higher percentage of allowable expenses: Tier 1 ($50K–$500K budget) up to 15%; Tier 2 ($500K–$1.5M) up to 10%; Tier 3 ($1.5M–$5M) up to 6%; Tier 4 ($5M–$10M) up to 4.5%; Tier 5 ($10M+) up to 4%. …
