About this opportunity
The Countywide Facade Improvement Program (CFIP), administered by Montgomery County's Department of Housing and Community Affairs (DHCA), provides financial and technical support to help property and business owners make significant physical improvements to the exterior of older commercial buildings. The program reimburses eligible participants up to 50% of approved design and construction costs (up to $500,000) for facade improvement projects. Buildings must be 10 or more years old or not meet current commercial standards. In exchange for county funding, participants must maintain the improvements for a negotiated term (3–7 years) through a facade easement agreement with the County.
