About this opportunity
The CACS grant program funds Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) across Maryland. CACs bring together professionals from law enforcement, child protective services, and social work into multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate investigative and intervention services for child abuse and sexual crime cases. CACs assist in responding to and investigating allegations of sexual crimes against children and child abuse, and provide care meeting accreditation standards under the Maryland Statewide Organization for Child Advocacy Centers. The goal is to create a child-focused approach to child abuse investigations so that child victims are not re-traumatized by the systems meant to protect them.
