The State Revitalization Programs (SRP) offer a range of grant funding to support community revitalization goals across Maryland. Funding is primarily used for capital projects — physical improvements with at least a 15-year useful life — located within designated Sustainable Communities. Common projects include upper-story residential redevelopment in historic business districts, commercial façade improvements, adaptive reuse of vacant buildings, neighborhood parks, arts and cultural amenities, small business incubators, and acquisition/rehabilitation of vacant residential properties.
