The Arts Capital Grant program provides Maryland-based nonprofit arts organizations with direct access to state capital funding for projects that enhance or create complete, usable, and accessible arts facilities. Authorized by the Maryland General Assembly in 2021, the program allocates $3,000,000 per year for six fiscal years (FY24–FY29). Eligible projects include expansion, new construction, renovation, or major repairs to a facility or other infrastructure operated by an eligible organization. Projects that prioritize energy-efficient building methods, increase accessibility for people with disabilities, or expand programming capacity are strongly encouraged. Grants range from $50,000 to $500,000.
