About this opportunity
The FY26 Maryland Electric School Bus Grant Program provides competitive grants to help public school districts and their private bus vendors purchase or lease electric school buses. The program directs $4.9 million toward eligible vehicles used for student transportation, with a strong focus on expanding access for overburdened and low-to-moderate income communities, including Title I schools. Funding covers up to 120% of the incremental cost of eligible electric school buses, plus charging infrastructure installation and associated costs, EVSE and facility planning, and technician training.
