A statewide program offering a menu of conservation incentives that promote clean water, healthy soils, and climate solutions for Maryland farmers and landowners. Incentives include: (1) Tree Planting Incentives — a $2 bonus per new tree planted as part of an approved MACS-financed conservation practice, paid in addition to the regular cost-share rate (up to 100% for most practices, up to 87.5% for Silvopasture); qualifying practices include Windbreak Establishment, Silvopasture, Riparian Forest Buffer, Hedgerow Planting, and Tree and Shrub Establishment; (2) Conservation Buffer Incentives; (3) CREP Bonus Payments; (4) Cover Crop Plus Grants; (5) Tax Incentives for Conservation Equipment — the Maryland Income Tax Subtraction Modification for Conservation Equipment allows eligible farmer…
