It supports the retention and growth of Maryland's existing and emerging agricultural and resource-based businesses by partnering with county and municipal economic development offices to co-fund projects that benefit farming, forestry, seafood, agritourism, value-added processing, packaging, and marketing of agricultural products, as well as water and air quality improvement projects that contribute to business sustainability.
