About this opportunity
The Maryland Community Investment Venture (MCIV) Fund, established under the Maryland Access to Banking Act, supports financial technology (fintech) firms developing products and innovations that expand access to capital, funding, and financial services for small businesses in low-to-moderate income (LMI) communities. The Fund is seeded with an initial equity capital investment of up to $2,500,000 from the Office of Financial Regulation's Banking Institution and Credit Union Regulation Fund, and through June 30, 2028, the Commissioner may match investments made by Maryland state-chartered banks or credit unions up to the amount of the assessment credit earned by each institution.
