About this opportunity
The National Housing Trust Fund (HTF) is a federal program administered in Maryland by the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) to help create and preserve affordable rental housing for households with the lowest incomes. DHCD uses HTF funds to support extremely low-income households earning 30% or less of the Area Median Income (AMI). HTF funds are often combined with other federal, state, and local housing resources to help make affordable housing projects financially feasible. Maryland will receive $3,000,000 in HTF funds from HUD for FFY 2025 (October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026), with an affordability period of 40 years beginning at project completion.
