About this opportunity

The Maryland Department of Health's Center for Tobacco Prevention and Control (CTPC) provides funding to all 24 local health departments in Maryland to ensure compliance with the federal Synar Amendment and the 2024 Tobacco Retailer Modernization Act. The program supports annual, random, unannounced inspections of tobacco retailers, with the goal of keeping the retailer violation rate below 20% and preventing youth access to tobacco products.
