About this opportunity

COSSUP (also known as COAP) provides states, tribes, territories, and local governments with funding to address illicit opioid, stimulant, and other drug activity. In Maryland, the program supports community-based programs, diversion from the criminal justice system through law enforcement and other first responder-based responses (including Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion / LEAD), court-based programs, and programming in jails and prisons to improve access to care. The program supports efforts to locate and investigate illicit drug distribution, increase access to prevention programs and overdose reversal medications, and expand treatment and recovery support services in the community and within correctional facilities.
