About this opportunity

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development provides matching grants to support the operating costs of certified Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) corporations. These nonprofits partner with residents, financial institutions, community organizations, and local governments to stabilize and improve housing markets in targeted low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. NHS corporations use the funds to provide homeownership opportunities, closing cost assistance, homebuyer education and counseling, home rehabilitation for ownership and rental, and community-organizing activities. The Department currently supports three NHS corporations operating in targeted neighborhoods.
