About this opportunity

Maryland uses federal EPA Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) State Grant funds to replace older, higher-emission diesel school buses with new electric or cleaner diesel buses, and to replace older drayage trucks operating at the Port of Baltimore with newer, cleaner trucks. The program provides financial assistance to vehicle owners, who pay the remaining share of the purchase price. It advances the Maryland Clean Vehicle Initiative and targets areas with poor air quality, including the Baltimore and Washington DC ozone nonattainment areas.
